Forget what you think you know about man's best friend: this boy's best friend is his cat, Thumper.

Sometimes fate seems to bring people and pets together, as in the case of Thumper the cat and a young boy whose cat had just died. Only a month after the death of the family's pet, the solid-white kitten showed up suddenly at the father's office. When the family tried to find him later, however, he had disappeared -- only to show up several miles away in their front yard! Thumper loves the whole family -- even the toddler sister -- but the bond with "his" boy, with whom he plays and goes for walks, is especially strong.
