These cats are not from the Himalayan Mountains, but rather a breed developed with the coloring of a Siamese and the hair of a Persian. Once bred, they had the same coloring and hair as the Himalayan goats, hence the name. Personality Traits - Loving calm

Note: There are many other colors that are acceptable. Health Problems - Himalayans have little health problems.
- Get a 10 to 12 week old kitten and check its ears and eyes. A scruffy kitten could mean that it's unhealthy.
Note: Himalayans have very long hair, which can be a problem when cleaning your house. Be sure to comb your cat to get the tangles out and to keep the coat healthy. Himalayans are quiet loving cats.
