    Materials:

    Strands of white miniature lights
    White twinkle satin
    Red fabric
    Red organza
Black material (i.e. felt or velvet)
    Large card suit shapes
    Duct tape
    Double-sided carpet tape
    Straight pins
    Pencil
    Scissors
    Big dice
    Balloons
    Risers

    1. Dress up the white twinkle satin with some card suit shapes. Trace large card suit designs onto some black material and red material (figure A). Cut the designs out.

    2. Use strands of white holiday lights and icicle lights to illuminate the buffet. Just tape the lights on the under side of the buffet table (figure B) so that they hang all the way down to the floor.

    3. Cover the top of the buffet table with red fabric and skirt the bottom with white twinkle satin. Make sure the bottom edge of the white twinkle fabric just touches the floor and is nice and even. Then, take simple stick pins and pin them every 6 inches pinning the fabric to the cloth. Place the pins right on the edge of the table -- this will help the skirt lay smooth and flat.

    4. Use carpet tape, which is double-sided, to affix the card shapes to the front of the white twinkle fabric (figure C).

    5. Incorporate the white lights on the top of the buffet (figure D) and then cover the entire top of the buffet with red organza. Tuck the bottom of the red organza under so that none it hangs off the table.

    6. Add your giant dice decorations and place your food containers where you want them (figure E). Use some risers underneath the organza to add dimension to some of the dishes.

Expert Tip: Cheryl Evanoff, VP of Regal Rentals, says that your tablecloth and table top settings are one of the most important parts of the party. She says that it is the first thing that people look at other than the lighting and overall ambiance when you entertain, and it's a great way to make something really beautiful and elegant.
