    • Divide your recipes into two categories -- recipes you have tried and recipes you have not tried.

    • Get a recipe box with dividers. Handwrite all your recipes on index cards, or you can tape or staple them.

    • Place only the recipes you have tried into the recipe box.

    • For the recipes you have not tried, get an expanding file folder and label the food categories. Put each untried recipe into the appropriate slot. Place them in your recipe box once you have tried them.

    • For recipes you have tried from your recipe books, make a brief note about recipe on an index card and file it in the box, referencing the book and the page number.
