    Materials:

    Tissue paper
    Poster paper
    Ribbons
    Baubles
    Pencil
    Glitter
    White glue
    Paint brushes
    Clear tape
    Scissors
    Yardstick

    Instructions for Princess Crown:

    1. Cut a strip of poster paper the width of the yardstick, 1-1/2" wide, and about 28" long -- about the length of a sheet of poster paper (figure A).

    2. Wrap a strip around your head to make a circle and tape the ends closed (figure B). This is the headband base for the crown.

    3. Brush white glue on the outside of the headband and cover with glitter.

    4. Wrap the headband with ribbon, spacing it about one inch as you go (figure C).

    5. Now, cut long streamers of ribbons and tie them to the back of the headband so that they "stream" down.

    6. Glue baubles onto the headband between the wrapped ribbon (figure D).

    Instructions for Prince Crown:

    1. Cut five strips of poster paper the width of the yardstick, 1-1/2" wide, and 28" long -- about the length of a sheet of poster paper.

    2. Wrap a strip around your head to make a circle and tape the ends closed. This is the headband base for the crown.

    3. Tape a strip of poster paper inside the headband to form a curve that sticks up about 5 inches. Tape a second strip inside the headband perpendicular to the first one. This will form an "X"(figure E).

    4. Now, tape the third and fourth strips between the first two so that it will make another "X." When you tape the third and fourth in, make them longer than the first two so they bulge out.

    5. Now, take a sheet of tissue paper and fit it loosely inside the crown so that it fills the bulgy, rounded sections (figure F). If you have extra tissue sticking out beyond the headband just trim it off. Tape the tissue paper down inside the headband.

    6. To make a point for the top of the crown, cut a diamond out of poster paper and tape it on (figure G).

    7. Brush white glue on the strips of the crown and sprinkle with glitter.

Tip: Have an adult supervise when using scissors.
